Magic: The Gathering's Beta set, released in October 1993, was the second-ever MTG card set and closely followed the Alpha set. It featured 302 cards, including iconic ones like the Black Lotus, Moxes, and the original dual lands. The Beta set corrected printing errors from Alpha and re-introduced black-bordered cards with new corners, enhancing the aesthetic appeal. Despite being a reprint of Alpha, Beta's minor changes, such as adjusted card text and art updates, made it distinctive.
