New Arrivals: 23 Power Nine Cards, 62 Duals, 50 Foils

Our gang had a wonderful trip to MagicCon Las Vegas as you might already have guessed by the haul we showed you on Wednesday, but what if we told you that was only the tip of the iceberg?

Before we start gushing over all the crazy cards that we gathered for you, let’s have a little quality time together and look at some of the pictures the team took back in the United States!

Highlights of the Week: One Beta Lotus and 22 Unlimited Power Nines

Onto the non-human juicy stuff! A total of 23 new Power Nine cards made it safe and sound back to Europe, among them is a Played and Inked Beta Black Lotus. What an amazing card!

Okay, now we are not going to name all the twenty-two Unlimited Power Nine cards that are new in store, but we will count them! We got...

That should be 22, right? And no Timetwister! That’s crazy, but thankfully we still have some in our store from previous Drops. You can check them out here!

There are other cool cards from Unlimited as well as Duals (which we’ll go over further down the blog post).

If you want to go through all the new Unlimited stuff, check out the New Arrivals Collection page!

Alpha and Beta Good Stuff

Let’s ignore the Power elephant in the room for now and look at what else is new, continuing with Limited Edition Alpha and Beta. The OGs of black bordered cards, as well as Magic in general!

There are over 40 new Alpha cards in store, too many to name them all. So, we’ll just go through some of which we think are cool:

Excellent Alpha Force of Nature: It’s the Incredible Hulk from Magic! So strong, so powerful and the best lifegain strategy in Old School Mono Green decks, because everybody is afraid of him and everybody plays Swords to Plowshares!

Excellent Alpha Swords to Plowshares: The BEST creature removal ever printed exists since Alpha, and it does not only get rid of the Hulk, but also almost anything else! This card is one of two reasons White is in almost every Old School deck.

Good Alpha Sol Ring: The last Alpha card we’ll feature for now is the good old Sol Ring. Not only popular in Old School, but also present in EVERY Commander deck. Forget Hatsune Miku. Forget Final Fantasy. Forget Doctor Who. Forget all about SpongeBob. The real bling is an Alpha Sol Ring! (Not only because this is a great rhyme)

For all 40 new Alpha cards, continue to our New Arrivals Collection page!

Oh man, almost forgot about Beta! Not much to see here, just things like a Light Played Beta Chaos Orb or Light Played Serra Angel. You know, “small” stuff!

Arabian Nights and Legends

We already showed you a Near Mint Juzam Djinn last week, remember? Turns out there’s way more cards from Arabian Nights coming in from Las Vegas. Not complaining, let’s go through the big stuff together!

FIVE more Juzam Djinns (PL – EX) are visiting Vienna for the first time away from their City of Brass (PO + GD) and City in a Bottle (LP, GD, EX). “What a wonderful town, but why is it so hot even though it’s not in the desert” they are wondering, while refreshing themselves with a cool Drop of Honey (PL + GD). After cooling down a bit, they went to the Brunnenmarkt, which was nothing in comparison to the Bazaar of Baghdad (PL) in their hometown. On their next visit, they promised each other to hike through Austria’s famous Mountains (GD + NM).

Back to the real world, which is also full of Legends! Here we got a Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale in Light Played condition for you together with a lot of Near Mint cards, for example The Abyss, Nether Void and Eureka

Beta Dual, Unlimited Duals and Others

Now let’s count some Duals! 62 Dual Lands are new in store, some of them real VIPs among card stock.

Let’s start with those: Here we got a BGS 9 Beta Savannah as well as 17 Unlimited Duals, wow! Not only that, but that’s a full playset of Unlimited Volcanic Islands (LP + GD) together with a Tundra (EX), Taiga (PL) and many others!

There are also some Foreign Black and White Bordered Duals, most notably is another Volcanic Island (EX) from FBB as well as an Underground Sea (NM) from FWB.

And then there’s everything from Revised. Lots of Near Mint Duals from Volcanic Island to Taiga to Bayou. Just take your pick, there’s literally everything here, as well as some Played versions of the cards in case you are on a budget.

As always, you can find all the Duals on our New Arrivals Collection page!

Premodern, Legacy and Vintage Staples

TEN new City of Traitors coming in HOT! They are in different conditions and languages, of course, but that’s the most we ever saw coming in a single New Arrivals drop!

There are also trios of every other High-End Reserved List card you can think of like Survival of the Fittest (PL, LP, GD) or Phyrexian Dreadnought (PO, EX NM). The only card that’s missing is Mox Diamond, which we still got in store for you anyhow!

High-End Foils from Las Vegas

The High-End Foils category is packed with cool stuff this week, what else would you expect from Las Vegas? There are 50 new Foils, so we’ll have to pick some highlights for you… but it’s hard, they are all so pretty!

Neon Ink Blue Traveling Chocobo: After the two Black Chocobos we showed you last week, we also got a Blue one! It’s maybe not as rare as the Black one, but it sure is as cute! A must-have for every Final Fantasy fan.

Surge Foil Sephiroth, Fabled SOLIDER: Another real cool and iconic FINAL FANTASY card. We also got Cloud in Surge Foil, but for some reason the evil villain is more popular than the good guy?!

Serialized Palantir of Orthanc: The Holiday release cards from Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth are not slowing down in popularity! Here we got one of the many serialized cards that were available in small numbers!

Legends Booster, Full Set and More

Lastly, we have some different MTG rarities for you together with a PSA 9 Sealed Legends Booster and a full set of Japanese Fourth Edition: Black Bordered (GD – NM).

On top of these anomalies, we have two DCI Promos for you, as well as a Human Sol Ring (NM) from The Lord of the Rings and The One Ring (NM) from the Holiday Release!

Be sure to check out our New Arrival Collection page, to see all our new cards from Las Vegas!
